Below is a description of some of my consulting projects.
I
spent several weeks meeting with people from different departments
within Grand Circle Travel to learn how information flows within the
organization. I then wrote a document describing the current state
of information at Grand Circle. Next, I developed a plan to help
Grand Circle organize their information and work to control the flow
of information within the organization.
I worked with REMI
personnel to train them to use the ForeHelp software to continue working
on their help system after I completed my work on the project. I also worked
out detailed designs for the help system and educated REMI personnel about
online help concepts.
I worked extensively with the Massachusetts
Supreme Judicial Court to help streamline the delivery of court opinions.
Prior to implementing my plans, the court had delivered documents to the
printer in Tennessee by Federal Express. In addition to this, they had to
send two separate sets of documents in case one got lost thereby greatly
increasing costs. I suggested a system where the entire process could be
done on computer and the documents were sent to the publisher via modem,
rather than courier. I worked with court personnel to help streamline document production and the flow of
documents through the production cycle. I got this job through Nsight.
