Technical Editing
Technical Editing involves proofing a technical
document or book against
a program to be sure it works as the writer described or verifying the technical
facts against other sources to be sure they are accurate. This includes checking
every instruction and graphic to make sure all match the most recent version of
the program or making sure the facts are accurately written. This type of editing does not generally involve copy editing
(checking grammar, spelling and style).
Each project required strict attention to detail
and adherence to a tight schedule while working with a project manager and
communicating with the authors regarding open issues and questions.
